China Garden, off 84th Street and West Center Road, is under new ownership and plans to add sushi to its lineup of Cantonese and Sichuan food in the coming months. 

Owner Chris Jiang is an alum of Hiro 88. 

The restaurant, at 8441 West Center Road, has a variety of menus: an Americanized Chinese lineup available for takeout, a Sichuan menu, a hot pot menu and, most recently, an in-table Asian barbecue menu. 

Bartender Luke Edson, who was running a cocktail program at the restaurant, as well as pop-up dinner events, has left. Edson is, for now, back at the Berry & Rye in the Old Market, he said.
