The Berry & Rye, an Old Market craft cocktail bar, has reopened.
The bar closed in February to get a new look and a new menu, owner Ethan Bondelid said.
The bar’s interior has been remodeled with a new seating arrangement, new paint and a new look. The bar also introduced a new cocktail menu.
During the month the bar was closed, it posted regular updates on Facebook with glimpses of its new look, including hot pink velvet seating and floral and paisley printed wall coverings.
The bar opened at 1105 Howard St. almost six years ago. Bondelid said that, since then, the cocktail scene has changed. It has, since it opened, had a policy that didn’t allow guests to stand in the bar; everyone had to be seated. That has changed, too.
