A lava poke bowl from Pokeworks, opening soon in Omaha.

A handful of new spots are open or opening soon all over Omaha. 

» Pokeworks, a new poke bowl and Hawaiian chain restaurant, is coming to Omaha. The restaurant, which plans to open in One Pacific Place, serves make-your-own poke bowls featuring tuna, salmon, shrimp, scallops or tofu, among other proteins. Diners choose their own sauces and toppings, which include fruit, vegetables, herbs and creative toppings like shredded seaweed, garlic crisps or nuts. » Rizin Japanese Ramen is open off 108th and West Center Road. The menu includes a variety of classic ramen selections, as well as rice bowls and a short list of sushi. For more information, including hours and a full menu, click here.

» Smokin Barrel BBQ is open in Millard, near 132nd and Q Streets. The restaurant, a brick-and-mortar location for a food truck, is at 13508 Discovery Drive and serves brisket, pulled pork, sausage, turkey and ribs, among other items, by the half-pound or on a sandwich. » Ozzy's Roadhouse is now open in La Vista. The restaurant, at 12744 Westport Parkway, is known for its pizza, which fits both low-carb and ketogenic diet plans; there is also a gluten-free option. » Rice Noodle Thai, focused on boba tea, pho and Thai noodles, is open off 96th and Q Streets. The menu includes a variety of Thai salads and curry, noodle dishes and noodle soups. There’s a big drink menu that includes boba and matcha, among other drinks. For more information, click here.
