1. Tenacious D
Jack Black and Kyle Gass formed a band the likes of which have never been seen, and they called themselves Tenacious D. The Grammy-winning, platinum-selling duo has been rocking like heroes (and making people laugh) for more than 25 years, releasing a TV series, a film, four albums and an animated series. 2. Cardi B
Cardi B won the Grammy for best rap album, “Invasion of Privacy,” the same album that landed at No. 6 among the top-selling albums of 2018. And now she’s on a world-spanning tour, which includes a stop Friday at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln. Tickets via Ticketmaster. Rappers Kevin Gates and Saweetie will open the show.
3. "Weird Al" Yankovic
"Weird Al" Yankovic will play Pinewood Bowl in Lincoln on Wednesday.
“Weird Al” Yankovic is coming back, but this show will be a little different. Yankovic will play Pinewood Bowl in Lincoln on Wednesday, this time with a string section. The master of pop parody is on a tour dubbed “Strings Attached,” and at each concert, he’ll play parodies such as “Eat It,” “Amish Paradise,” “Like a Surgeon” and “Smells Like Nirvana” in a way you’ve never heard them before. 4. Shades
Shades is Eprom and Alix Perez, and they’re coming to Slowdown on Friday. The pair has released six collaborative EPs, and their dark sound mixes up bass, hip-hop and glitch. Tickets, $15, are on sale now at ticketfly.com.
