It’s gonna get loud.

Punk bands Social Distortion and Flogging Molly are teaming up for at tour this summer that lands at Stir Cove on Sept. 11.

Formed more than 40 years ago by Mike Ness, Social Distortion is one of the best-selling punk bands ever, with songs such as “Ball and Chain” and “Story of My Life.”

Social Distortion hasn’t released an album since 2011, but Ness has teased new material on social media.

Fronted by Dubliner Dave King, Flogging Molly is one of the eminent Celtic punk rock bands, which mix elements of Irish folk with electric guitars à la The Pogues. Flogging Molly’s latest album, “Life is Good,” was released in 2017.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday via Ticketmaster.
