Interpol will come to Omaha in September.

Hit-making indie rock band Interpol will release new music before returning to Omaha later this year.

Interpol will play the Holland Performing Arts Center on Sept. 15.

On the heels of last year’s album, “Marauder,” Interpol will release a five-song EP, “A Fine Mess.” The short release includes the singles “The Weekend” and “Fine Mess,” and it will be available on May 17 on Matador Records.

It’s a big year for Interpol, which will play massive festivals such as Primavera Sound, Glastonbury and Osheaga in addition to theater and club dates.

Interpol’s first two albums, “Antics” and “Turn on the Bright Lights,” were major indie rock successes, each certified gold. The indie rock band has three top-10 hits with “Our Love to Admire,” “Interpol” and “El Pintor.”

Interpol played a sold-out Slowdown in 2011.

Tickets to see the band at the Holland Center go on sale Friday via Ticket Omaha.
