Slash, center, will come to Stir Cove with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators.

One of the best guitarists of all time is coming to Stir Cove.

Slash, of Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, will play the amphitheater on Aug. 9 with vocalist Myles Kennedy and his band, the Conspirators.

Ranked No. 65 on Rolling Stone’s list of the greatest guitarists of all time, Slash is known for penning epic riffs and solos from “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” “November Rain” and “Paradise City” as well as his iconic look — shaggy hair, sunglasses, top hat. With Guns N’ Roses, he was inducted into the hall of fame in 2012.

In addition to his work with GNR, Slash has released two albums with Velvet Revolver and six solo projects.

“Living the Dream,” recorded with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, was released last year. In live performances, the band typically plays its own material as well as the occasional GNR and Velvet Revolver cover.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday via Ticketmaster.
