Petrow’s patio entices with special menu

Petrow’s has completed its renovations, and the restaurant’s new patio is open for business.

The patio is open all day, and the restaurant serves a new menu outdoors. Among the new patio menu items: falafel and gyros, Italian beef sandwiches, chicken wings, wraps and salads.

Through Sept. 12, Petrow’s is offering a special on the patio: buy one malt or shake and get one free.

The patio also has a sunset happy hour from 7:30 p.m. to close that includes drink and food specials.

Petrow’s is at 5914 Center St. Its hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. On Friday and Saturday, the patio stays open until 11 p.m.

Bowling alley renovated, gets gastropub

A bowling alley and restaurant near Oak View Mall has been remodeled and is reopening this month.

Alley V, formerly The V, has been renovated and now has a gastropub. Alley V has a new menu, a new bar, sports viewing, live entertainment, games and more.

The new restaurant will open this month at 3375 Oak View Drive.

Wear your whites to say goodbye to summer

Sullivan’s Steakhouse, 222 S. 15th St., is saying goodbye to summer with a White Hot Night party tonight.

The party, which runs from 5 to 9 p.m., includes entertainment, giveaways, food and $7 drinks, wines and bar menu items. Diners are encouraged to wear white. Guests can RSVP at events.sullivanssteakhouse.com/white-hot/.

Steak at heart of Fleming’s fall specials

Fleming’s steakhouse has some new fall menu specials, mostly focused on steak.

This weekend the restaurant will have a few evening specials, including a menu of five items for $6 available until 7 p.m. and a menu of eight items for $9 available until 10 p.m. The restaurant will also have an all-weekend, three-course prime rib dinner for $29.99.

More beef-centric specials take place throughout the fall. For example, on Sundays, the restaurant will serve its three-course prime rib dinner for $34.95; on Mondays, diners can choose among a ribeye, a pork chop or sea bass with sides and dessert for $49.95; and on weekdays in the bar, a petite filet with truffle mashed potatoes and a red wine flight is $39.95.

Feelin’ groovy enough 
for ‘magic mushroom’ pie?

Pie Five pizza locations are adding a “magic mushroom” pizza for a limited time.

The pizza, meant to celebrate national mushroom month, includes a base of Alfredo sauce with grilled chicken, caramelized onions, fresh mozzarella, balsamic drizzle and both crimini and white mushrooms.
