"Jimmy Buffett's Escape to Margaritaville" is coming to the Orpheum next year.

Representatives from Omaha Performing Arts said the musical will replace "Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," which was coming in November of this year, on its coming Broadway lineup. "Margaritaville" will run from July 7-12, 2020.

A tour scheduling change prompted the switch.

OPA President Joan Squires said her organization tried to reschedule "Charlie" but it wasn't feasible. The Jimmy Buffett musical, however, will be a worthy substitute, she said.

"(It) is a hilarious and heartwarming musical with unforgettable music by one of music's greatest storytellers," she said.

Emmy Award winner Greg Garcia and Emmy nominee Mike O'Malley wrote the musical's book around such Buffett songs as "Cheeseburger in Paradise" and "Fins."

Season ticket holders will get tickets for the same day of the week, times and seats they had for the other show. Individual tickets will go on sale later this year.
