Barbara "K" (Kaskie) Wood lived a long and happy life which was dedicated to what she loved the most, God, her family, and helping the less fortunate. Known for her thrifty ways, she instilled a love of the little things in life in her children and helped them learn to appreciate every detail and moment. She will be remembered as an active member of the community, who up until recently was still helping people ile their tax returns and seeking out large print secondhand books to add to the library at New Cassel Retirement Center, where she also volunteered. After struggling with numerous health issues, Barbara succumbed to her illness and died at 9:12 am on September 22, 2015. She is survived by 12 children, 29 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren and her sister, Pat Coy, her brother Rich Kaskie and his wife Darlene, all who live in Denver, CO. She is re-united in heaven with her husband of 44 years, Donald Wood, ! as well as son, Bill Wood, daughter, Sharon Budke, and parents, Everett and Mayme Kaskie.
