Scouting South Dakota: The Coyotes enter Sunday's game tied atop the Summit League with rival South Dakota State at 9-1 in conference play. South Dakota has won its last eight, a streak that began with an 82-76 win over UNO at the Dakota Dome on Jan. 9. Preseason league player of the year Nicole Seekamp had 26 points and six assists in that victory. The senior guard from Australia ranks among the all-time top 10 in the Summit League in career points, assists and steals. Seekamp is one of three Coyote starters who average in double figures for a team that leads the conference in scoring. South Dakota has won its last three league games by 25, 26 and 46 points. The Coyotes drilled Denver 79-33 on the road Friday night.

Scouting UNO: The Mavericks look to bounce back from a rough outing Thursday against league co-leader South Dakota State when they take on the other team atop the standings. UNO rallied to challenge South Dakota late in their first meeting, getting 25 points from Caroline Hogue and 24 from Mikaela Shaw. The Mavs have dropped two straight games and six of their last eight. They'll be challenged Sunday by the best shooting and rebounding team in the Summit League. UNO is currently alone in sixth place in the conference with six games to play. This is the second game of the Mavs' three-game homestand before wrapping up the regular season by playing three of their last four on the road.
