Wine and dine at Toast Nebraska wine festival this weekend

LOCAL VINTNERS and grape growers will host a two-day wine festival this weekend. The Toast Nebraska Wine Festival, presented by the Nebraska Winery & Grape Growers association, will be from 4 to 10 p.m. Friday and 1 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Vala's Pumpkin Patch, 12102 s. 180th St. in Gretna.

The event will include tastings of more than 150 wines alongside live music, seminars, shopping, food and games. Two-day tickets are $80 in advance and $90 the day of the event. designated driver passes are available for $25. To purchase tickets, visit bit.ly/2E5uBm6.

No children, pets, smoking or weapons allowed.

General admission tickets include a tasting glass, wine tote and admission to all sessions.

Drink mystery beer at Crescent Moon event

The Crescent Moon alehouse is hosting a mystery beer event this weekend.

The event will be from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday at the Crescent Moon, 3578 Farnam St.

The bar will sell craft beer cans covered in paper bags. some select beers will also include special prizes. Check the bottom of the can to see if you win a prize.

Blindly taste whiskey at Spirit World

Test your whiskey knowledge at spirit World this weekend.

The spirit store is hosting a blind whiskey tasting beginning at 6:30 p.m. sunday at the store, 6680 Center st. Tickets are $65 per person, and rsVP is required. To purchase tickets, visit conta.cc/2hi3ECn.

Experts Brett atlas and andy ruback will guide participants through tastings of eight whiskeys without initially identifying them. The hope is that guests will learn what they like without preconceived notions.

Get groovy on the water during '70s cruise

Ever wanted to listen to old school 70s jams ... on the water?

The river City star is hosting its 70s Band Party Cruise this weekend. The event is from 9 to 11:30 p.m. The cruise departs from river City star Landing, 151 Freedom Park road.

Tickets are $27.50 per person and are available at bit.ly/2JhWsbr. The event is 21 and up.

The night will feature live entertainment by The 70s Band. seating will be available on the main level. The event floor will be standing room only.
