SIP NEBRASKA — the annual celebration of the state's wine, craft beer and spirits — is this weekend. The event will be from 4 to 10 p.m. Friday and 1 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Eugene T. Mahoney state Park, 28500 West Park highway in Ashland.

Tickets are available at sipnebraska.com. Nonalcoholic passes are available.

The festival highlights Nebraska's beverage industry with more than 130 tastings of Nebraska-produced drinks. Other amenities include live music, dance lessons, yard games, education sessions and more than 20 artisan, craft and food vendors.

Get graduated at Bärchen

It's graduation season. and now you can celebrate whether or not you're taking home a degree.

Bärchen Beer Garden is hosting an "Everybody's Grad Party" this weekend. The event begins at 8 p.m. saturday at the beer garden, 6209 Maple st.

The party will include a live dJ, a photo booth, graduation decorations and beer.

Spirit World hosts gin expo

Gin is on the menu at spirit World this weekend.

The spirits store is hosting a gin showcase beginning at noon Saturday at spirit World, 6680 Center st. The event is free and no rsVP is required.

There will be an array of gins representing the unique flavor profiles of several different regions. Experts will offer straight samples and will teach participants how to use each gin in cocktails.

Infusion hosts Sausage Jubilee

Infusion Brewing Co. will host a party featuring sausage from Iowa.

The event begins at 5 p.m. Friday at Infusion's Benson location, 6115 Maple st.

Infusion sends a portion of its spent grain to feed the hogs at Wild rose Farms in Glenwood. To thank the brewery, the owners of the farm are bringing Italian and cheddar sausage for customers to enjoy.

The back parking lot of the brewery will be open to customers. a brat or sausage, chips and pickle will be $5. select beers will be available for $3.
