A rabbi and a Christian will discuss their work for peace and justice among Palestinians and Israelis during an event in Omaha on Sunday.

The event will be at 7 p.m. at the Urban Abbey, 1026 Jackson St., and will feature Rabbi Joseph Berman and Bshara Nassar. Berman is the government affairs liaison with Jewish Voice Peace in Washington, D.C. Nassar is a Palestinian Christian who is founder and executive director of the Nakba Museum Project of Memory and Hope based in Washington, D.C. It is a newly formed project to tell the Palestinian story to a mass audience through exhibitions, multimedia and performance.

The Omaha event is free and open to the public. The event is sponsored by the Great Plains Conference of the United Methodist Church in collaboration with Nebraskans for Peace.-Michael O'Connor
