Perez, Ceasar "Ernie"

Ceasar "Ernie" Perez died in McCook, NE on November 18, 2019, born February 25, 1937 at Minatare, NE to Manuel and Ruth Perez. He served in the US Army. Graduated from Alliance High School, Chadron State Teachers College and Univ. of Nebraska at Kearney. He taught in various Nebraska schools. He was an assistant coach in football, basketball, wrestling and track, inducted into the Northwest Hall of Fame, Official Record Keeper at the Nebraska State Track Meet. Preceded in death by parents; wife Judy Baumbach; siblings Margaret Vergith, Helen Vallejo, Manuel (Chico) Perez; grandson Everett Bailey. Survived by his wife, Shirley Perez (McCook); children Nancy Perez (Omaha) and John Perez (Jean) (Omaha); stepdaughters MaryAnn (Gary) Fredrick (St Paul); Lynn Driml-Pinkal (Grand Island) (Terry McCook); Michele (Matthew) Winkelmann (Kearney); stepsons Richard Scott Driml (Sandi) (Paradise Valley AZ); Darriel Driml (Fairhaven MA); 12 Grandchildren; 7 Great-Grandchildren; siblings Richard (Dawn) Perez (Westminster, CO), Frances Gonzales (Carrollton, TX), Joan Moreno (Omaha, NE), Barbara Meisheid (Friend Mick) (Phoenix, AZ), Mary (Keith) Orr (Phoenix, AZ) and Ruth (Bill) Campbell (Alliance, NE); sister-in-law Priscilla Perez (Lakewood CO); numerous nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL SERVICE Friday, November 22, 2019, 10:30am, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, McCook, BURIAL to follow at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, NE, Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel of McCook entrusted with arrangements.
