Omaha's Mosaic Pickle makes Food Network list of the best food trucks in each state

A puffy taco from the Mosaic Pickle food truck, which was listed on Food Network's "50 States of Food Trucks."

THE MOSAIC Pickle, a food truck based in Omaha, is on the Food Network's list "50 states of Food Trucks." The truck, which launched in 2013, started after owner deanna Jones won a local chili cook-off.

Among the items on the truck's menu: deep-fried corn on the cob, a reuben sandwich and dishes with global inspiration, like a gyro transformed into a puffy taco or Cuban sliders.

Fauxmaha's bánhmì dog named one of best vegan dogs in the country by PETA

Fauxmaha, which recently announced it is moving from a food cart to a bricks-and mortar spot in midtown, is getting national recognition: PETa named its bánh mì dog one of the 10 best vegan dogs in the nation.

The tofu and seitan dog comes topped with pickled carrots and radish, a spicy sriracha "mayo" sauce and fresh mint and cilantro.

Other winners include the Crispy Cowboy at Phyto's Vegan Eats in las Vegas; the hang Ten from Onion Maiden in Pittsburgh; and the Chicago dog at dirty Frank's hot dog Palace in Columbus, Ohio.
