LIGHTNING 4, BRUINS 1: Ryan Callahan scored twice, and Steven Stamkos converted a penalty shot to help Tampa Bay win its sixth straight. Ben Bishop stopped 32 shots for the Lightning and Alex Killorn also scored.

DUCKS 4, KINGS 2: Corey Perry had his ninth career hat trick, and Anaheim got within two points of L.A. for the Pacific Division lead.

WILD 3, PANTHERS 1: Erik Haula scored midway through the third to lead Minnesota. Charlie Coyle and Jason Pominville also scored.

BLUES 5, HURRICANES 2: David Backes and Kyle Brodziak scored in the second period to lift St. Louis to a road win.

SHARKS 4, CANUCKS 1: Joe Pavelski and Tomas Hertl scored 2:28 apart in the third period, helping San Jose over Vancouver.

OILERS 3, ISLANDERS 1: Leon Draisaitl, Anton Lander and Brandon Davidson all scored in the third period for Edmonton, helping the Oilers snap a seven-game losing streak.



The New York Rangers have acquired Carolina Hurricanes captain Eric Staal in a trade. In exchange for Staal, the Hurricanes acquired center Aleksi Saarela, who is currently playing in his native Finland, and New York's second-round selections in each of the next two drafts.
