Preservationists will gather during the next two weekends to show some love for a few old buildings.

Restoration Exchange Omaha's Heart Bombing event returns for 2016. Building-lovers will gather at The Architectural Offices, 4610 Dodge St., from 10 a.m. until noon today to make valentines for four of the group's favorite historic buildings in town. Then, on Valentine's Day from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., they'll deploy from the same place, caravaning to the different buildings to affix their love notes to their exteriors.

Restoration Exchange will reveal the four buildings on Valentine's Day, when the group reconvenes at 11 a.m.

Heart bombing should take about an hour and a half. Afterwards, the caravan will head to Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture and its Co-Lab spaces in the Tip Top Building, 1516 Cuming St., for free food, drink and a tour.

Materials will be provided for valentine makers today. Participation is open to the public.
