2 Meet Llama Llama

llama llama will visit storytime at the Omaha Public library this weekend. he'll be at the Out & about storytime in stinson Park, 2285 s. 67th st., at 10:30 a.m. Thursday; the Willa Cather library, 1905 s. 44th st., at 10:30 a.m. Friday; and the sorensen library, 4808 Cass st., at 10:30 a.m. saturday. during the events, kids can read stories, sing songs and take a photo with llama llama.

3 Have some summer fun at the library

The Omaha Public library will host several fun events this weekend. Check out the Omaha symphony Visits Family storytime at 10:15 a.m. Thursday at the Benson library, 2918 N. 60th st. Build and fly a drone during Building Blocks drones at 6 p.m. Thursday at the abrahams library, 5111 N. 90th st. Enjoy a messy morning at 11 a.m. saturday at the saddlebrook library, 14850 laurel ave. Finally, check out a shark party at 11 a.m. saturday at the south Omaha library, 2808 Q st.

Watch a magician

4 regency Court will host a free kid's funfare at 10 a.m. Thursday. The event will feature magician Jeff Quinn in center court. regency Court is located at 120 regency Parkway.

Meet somewild animals

Come see animals from different continents up close during Wildlife Encounters at the Omaha Public library. The fun will take place from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the abrahams library, 5111 N. 90th st. Kids will learn about their habitats, enrichment activities, diets and also some cool facts about the animals. The event is recommended for all ages.

6 Check out a 'LionKing' family party

Majestic Cinema of Omaha, 14304 West Maple road, will host a "lion King" family party saturday and sunday from 10 a.m. to noon. There will be free snacks and fun activities for the whole family before seeing "The lion King." Tickets are sold separately.

7 Have fun at a Splash Bash

On sunday, join the la Vista Public library at the la Vista Public pool for free entry, a live dJ, games, prizes and free food while supplies last from 1 to 4 p.m. The pool is located at 7529 s. 85th st.

8 Go ice skating

The ralston arena offers public ice skating for $5, with free ice skate rental. The Motto Mclean Ice arena inside hitchcock Park near 45th and Q streets offers Family skate time sunday from 4 to 6:15 p.m.
