Toyota sees 5 percent rise in profit

Toyota Motor Corp.'s quarterly profit rose nearly 5 percent to $5.4 billion as the weaker yen and cost reductions offset declining sales in some markets. The automaker raised its full-year earnings forecast.

Surplus of space at Penney's headquarters

J.C. Penney is looking to potentially sell and partially lease back its headquarters to help lower debt and create long-term savings. The department store operator said Friday that it has a surplus of square footage available in the Plano, Texas, office building where it has been headquartered since 1992.

Apple widens credit options for trade-ins

Apple confirmed Friday it is accepting bangedup iPhones as a trade-in from people wanting to upgrade. Until now Apple offered up to a $350 credit for devices with an intact screen and working buttons. For damaged phones, it now will pay $50 for a 5s, $150 for a 6 and $200 for a 6 Plus.
