The Bellevue Public Library remains closed to the public until further notice; however, a pickup service by appointment is being offered.
Those interested in a pickup can make arrangements by calling the library at 402-293-3157. Once an appointment is made, requested items will be bagged and labeled by last name and placed on a table for pickup in the front entryway of the facility, 1003 Lincoln Road.
The service is being offered Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m.
People are being limited to 10 items for checkout per card with a total of 50 items per household, per appointment, according to information provided by City of Bellevue officials. There also will be a limit of one pickup appointment per household, per week.
Also, provided information says patrons are able to place a total of 10 holds per card. Library staff will try to honor same-day requests, but due to time constraints, this may not always be possible.
City officials added that the situation surrounding the reopening of the library will continue being evaluated for changes made in relation to directed health measures and state guidelines. Contact the writer at email@example.com.
