Omaha-area artists: Here's your chance to exhibit work at the downtown library.

The Michael Phipps Gallery, located on the first floor of the W. Dale Clark Library, 215 S. 15th St., is accepting applications for 2016 art shows. A panel will review the proposals and notify all applicants of the results by mid-November. Each selected artist will receive a $100 honorarium.

Interested artists have until Oct. 23 to submit work samples and a brief artist statement of 75 to 150 words. The application requires five digital images of artwork, a document listing information about each piece (file name, work title, year created and dimensions) and artist contact information.

Proposals can be submitted in person (CD or flash drive) at the library's information desk, by email to ltrout@omahalibrary.org, or by mail to: Gallery Exhibit Coordinator, Omaha Public Library, 215 S. 15th St., Omaha, NE 68102.
