SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. — Shadeen Samuels scored 32 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Seton Hall to an 82-75 win over the Creighton women Friday.

Jaylyn Agnew led the Bluejays with 26 points, including five during a fourth-quarter comeback.

Seton Hall led by 15 early in the third, and was up 65-55 with eight minutes to play.

That’s when Creighton (8-8, 2-3 Big East) went on a 12-2 run over the next three minutes to tie the score. Aubrey Faber started the run with a 3-pointer and Agnew ended it with another trey. Agnew hit five of CU’s 14 3-pointers.

But Seton Hall (10-5, 2-2), which never trailed, answered with a 9-0 run and Creighton never got closer than six the rest of the way.

The Pirates’ Inja Butina, who finished with 21 points off the bench, hit two jumpers during that run.

Temi Carda added 17 points for the Jays while Faber had 14 points and six rebounds. Guard Jade Owens added 11 rebounds, eight assists and six points.

Creighton plays at St. John’s at 1 p.m. Sunday.
