Creighton will conclude a three-match road swing Tuesday with a match against a 2017 College Cup participant.

Akron, which lost to Stanford in the NCAA tournament semifinals last year, will host CU at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

The Zips (5-5-2) have stumbled a bit at times this season — although they did upset No. 8 Michigan State. They are scoring 1.92 goals per game, which ranks 30th nationally.

No. 12 Creighton defeated St. John’s 3-1 on Oct. 6 in New York. Then it won 3-1 at Xavier Saturday. So the Jays (9-2-1) will look to continue the success Tuesday.

CU has won eight of its last nine matches. It holds a one-game lead in the Big East over Providence.
