LAS CRUCES, N.M. — Jen Daro hit three home runs and drove in 10 runs on Saturday to lead Creighton to a pair of victories over Campbell and Western Michigan at the Troy Cox Classic.

Daro, a junior infielder out of Omaha Skutt, belted a total of four hits for the Bluejays (4-5), who opened the day with an 11-3 victory over Campbell. They followed with a 6-1 win over Western Michigan.

In the first game, the Jays fell behind the Camels 2-0 in the first inning, but Daro hit a three-run homer in the top of the fourth off Campbell starter Katie Baker.

Daro’s home run sparked an offensive eruption for the Jays, who would score a total of 11 runs over a four-inning span.

Against Western Michigan, Daro hit two more three-run homers, with the first coming in the bottom of the first off the Broncos’ Jordan Kurth, scoring Allie Reinhart and Erin McGonigal.

Daro’s third three-run shot of the day came in the bottom of the fifth when she took a 3-2 pitch deep to score Jessica Lewis and Kelsey Allender.

Sydnee Eck (3-2) claimed a pair of wins for the Jays, relieving Michal Hylton against Campbell and pitching a complete game against Western Michigan.
