The World-Herald is counting down the 25 must-see athletes across all Creighton sports to help usher in CU's 2018-19 athletic season, which kicks off Aug. 19.

Taryn Kloth

Volleyball • Senior outside hitter

Kloth has been a consistent offensive threat for three years. She was at her best at the end of last season, averaging 3.08 kills per set and hitting .329 during the final 10 matches.

The 6-foot-4 senior from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, also spent two weeks this summer with USA Volleyball’s collegiate team. She’s positioned herself to take a significant step forward in her final season.

The second-team All-Big East performer in 2017 could emerge as a six-rotation player for CU this fall. She’s been working toward that role. It’s already clear that she’ll be a force on the outside.
