Matthew and Chelsea met at an attorney golf event. They had been working at the same law firm for a few months but had not officially met until that day.

The couple had their first date at Swine, a charming restaurant in NYC's West Village . This quickly became one of their favorite spots to celebrate special occasions and take friends who were visiting. The day after Thanksgiving 2015, Matthew asked Chelsea to go to brunch at a restaurant around the corner from Swine. While Chelsea was on her way, Matthew called to tell her that the restaurant had messed up their reservation and asked if she could please stop at Swine to see if they had any openings. Chelsea did not think much of the last minute change. When she walked into Swine, the restaurant was filled with candles and roses, and the restaurant was completely empty except for the two of them. Music was playing and Matthew got down on one knee and Chelsea said yes to spending the rest of their lives together.

The couple will honeymoon in Tahiti (Bora Bora and Morea).
