Simmons earn spot on Summit’s second team

UNO’s Justin Simmons was named second-team All-Summit League and also made the league’s all-newcomer team, the league announced Thursday after voting by Summit coaches, sports information directors and selected members of the media.

South Dakota State’s Nate Wolters was named the league’s player of the year, while Oakland’s Duke Mondy earned newcomer of the year. Western Illinois’ Terell Parks was named defensive player of the year, and North Dakota State’s Mike Felt received sixth man of the year.
