1. North Dakota (13-8-3, 8-6-0, No. 16): North Dakota's 10-game unbeaten streak (9-0-1) ended in Saturday's 3-0 loss at Denver. No. 18 North Dakota shares first place in the NCHC with Denver (24 points), though both have played two more games than St. Cloud State, which is one point behind. Clarke Saunders, the former Alabama-Huntsville goalie, was in net for both games of the Denver series after not appearing in a game since Nov. 29. Rocco Grimaldi leads the offense with nine goals and 12 assists for 21 points. The team has a week off to prepare for UNO's visit Feb. 7 and 8. This week: off

2. St. Cloud State (13-5-4, 7-3-2, No. 6): Sixth-ranked Huskies hit a bump in the road against improving Western Michigan, managing one of a possible six points in a home series Jan. 17 and 18, then lost 4-1 to top-ranked Minnesota before bouncing back with a 4-2 win over Minnesota State-Mankato. Still, the body of work this season is strong enough to merit the second spot in the ratings heading into a series this weekend at UNO. Huskies' penalty kill has fallen into UNO range (51st nationally at 77.5 percent), so power plays could be interesting this weekend. This week: at UNO
