MACOMB, Ill. — UNO squandered a 12-point second-half lead and couldn’t close out Western Illinois in its Summit League opener Saturday night, eventually falling 79-72 in overtime.
“We weren’t very good down the stretch,” UNO coach Derrin Hansen said. “We had a couple of point-blanks that we missed, had a bad turnover. They got to the (free-throw) line and they shot it in at the end.”
