KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Western Michigan scored three third-period goals in a span of three minutes to turn a two-goal deficit into a one-goal lead, then added a late empty-netter to stun UNO 5-3 Saturday night and salvage a split of an NCHC series.

After a scoreless first period in which UNO killed off three power plays, Josh Archibald scored the first of his two goals at 3:08 of the second period, pouncing on a rebound. Archibald had three goals on the weekend and now has 26 for the season, one short of matching the school's single-season record.
