Karhoff hits milestone as Mavs pull away

ORANGEBURG, S.C. — John Karhoff became the 34th player in UNO men's basketball history to reach 1,000 career points and was part of a strong inside game for the Mavericks in an 83-67 victory Monday night over South Carolina State.

Karhoff, a 6-foot-8 senior from Omaha Creighton Prep, had 13 points, six rebounds and two blocked shots for UNO, while starting frontcourt partner Mike Rostampour added season highs of 19 points and nine rebounds as the Mavs beat the Bulldogs for the second time in six nights to improve to 4-3.
