Peter Horrobin persevered through mini-tours, money issues to keep golfing
After winning his spot with a long putt in a playoff, Peter Horrobin become the first Jamaica-born golfer to qualify for the U.S. Senior Open. “I've been through some sad times, but this is my dream. I don't want to give up my dream.”

Peter Horrobin was telling the story Tuesday of how he made it to the biggest tournament of his life.
Of how he's the first Jamaica-born golfer to qualify for the U.S. Senior Open, of how he picked up an obscure sport foreign in his country and became proficient enough to turn professional, of how life on the mini-tours is fraught with peril.
