KEARNEY, Neb. — Right handers Jared Sterling and Landon Hallam combined to throw eight shutout innings and designated hitter Dylan Tinkler went 2 for 4 to help Central Oklahoma beat the University of Nebraska at Kearney, 5-4 Thursday, in the MIAA tournament.

All four of UNK’s runs came in the fourth inning as the Lopers got back-to-back two-run doubles to right center from senior left fielder Jayke Brock and junior catcher Max Ayoub. Brock went 2 for 4 on the day, while Ayoub finished 2 for 3.
