IOWA CITY — Iowa, once considered a legitimate Final Four contender, will have to win a play-in game Wednesday just to ensure that the Hawkeyes are still playing once March Madness begins in earnest.

The Hawkeyes (20-12) are a No. 11 seed in the Midwest regional and will meet another 11-seed, Tennessee, in a first-round game at 8 p.m. Wednesday in Dayton, Ohio. The game will be televised on TruTV. That game's winner will meet No. 6 seed Massachusetts (24-8) on Friday in Raleigh, N.C.
