Residents and businesses of Ralston can dispose of their trash and lawn waste in dumpsters located at the Public Works Building, 8220 Serum Ave., on Saturday, April 26 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., as part of the city’s annual Spruce Up Ralston’s Environment Clean-Up Day.
There will be no fee for the service for residents who present a driver’s license and for businesses who provide proof of their Ralston business.
Residents are asked to separate garbage and lawn waste, and there will be a $2 charge for each passenger or light truck tire.
Medium truck and tractor tires need to be de-rimmed and cut-up, and they will be priced on site.
No more than one computer system per load will be allowed.
The following items will not be accepted:
• Motor oil
• Paint, lacquer or stains, auto paint or inks
• Leaking cans or cans without labels
• Appliances with Freon (you must bring a receipt if you have had it professionally drained
Prior to SURE Clean-Up day, tree branches up to 6 inches in diameter can be taken to the Public Works yard anytime between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, but leave the branches long enough for chipping.
