Lions Club auction and chili feed dishes up on March 2

The Ralston Lions Club will hold its annual chili feed and auction Sunday, March 2 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Ralston Senior Center, 7301 Q St.

Tickets are $7 for adults and $3 for children ages 6 to 12. Children 5 and under are admitted free. Admission price includes chili, drink and side dish.

A silent auction and a live auction will both take place. Items up for bidding include a basketball autographed by the Creighton University men’s team, an autographed Creighton basketball media guide and autographed works by Omaha World-Herald cartoonist Jeff Koterba.

Ralston’s own Dave Shively will serve as chief auctioneer, with Ralston Mayor Don Groesser assisting. The live auction will begin at 5:15 p.m.

Some other items up for bidding in the auctions include:

• An autographed poster of the University of Nebraska’s women’s volleyball team.

• Works by local artists Deb Groesser and Frank Costanzo.

• A hybrid golf club

• Two football tickets to the Nebraska-McNeese State football game on Sept. 6.

• A miniature football helmet signed by former NU coach Tom Osborne.

• A 1980 American eagle silver dollar.
