The Midlands Community Foundation announced the recipients of the organization’s Reflection Award.

Dr. Chuck and Donna Wilcox will receive the award at the annual Reflection Ball on Jan. 18 at the Embassy Suites in La Vista.

Each year the Midlands Community Foundation honors an individual or individuals who have made significant contributions to Sarpy and Cass counties and the mission of the foundation.

The Midlands Community Foundation benefits the needs of Sarpy and Cass counties by providing financial support and involvement.

The foundation donates to organizations with an emphasis toward prevention and education in the areas of health, art, culture, community, education, economic development and human services.

“We are delighted to present Dr. Chuck and Donna Wilcox with our Reflection Award at our 2014 Ball for their leadership in philanthropy and long-time volunteer service and support of Midlands Community Foundation,” Executive Director Tonee Gay said in a press release.

The Wilcoxes were both born and raised in Lincoln. Both graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln: Chuck Wilcox from the College of Dentistry and Donna Wilcox from the Teachers College.
