In a tournament featuring some of the state's top tennis squads, Papillion-La Vista placed fourth at Friday's Westside Invite at the Koch Family Tennis Center.
Westside edged Skutt for the team title in the 24-team event with Marian placing third.
All four of Papio's entries earned top five finishes, led by the third place showing by the No. 1 doubles duo of Spencer Roach and Claire Neil.
Emma Dary and Shelby Bonnemier took fourth at No. 2 doubles while both Monarch singles players (Emma Neil and Maddie Willett) each finished fifth.
The only other area placer was the Bellevue West No. 2 doubles duo of Julie Targy and Katie Imig, which tied for seventh.
West tied for 16th overall while Papio South took 22nd and Bellevue East 23rd.
The Thunderbirds were edged by Elkhorn 5-4 in a dual meet earlier in the week.
Ellis Wittsey, Imig and Kimberly Gau each posted singles wins for the T-birds while Imig and Targy teamed up for a doubles triumph.
• Gross got the better of Roncalli by a 7-2 count in a dual contest.
Providing singles wins for the Cougars were Tahlyr Banks, Kelsey Beaudin, Mackenzie Kaspar, Kathryn Miller and Emily Riha.
Kaspar and Taylor Hanna teamed up for a doubles win, as did Riha and Eden Placzek.
• Bryan fell to Northwest by a 6-3 verdict on the court. Rebecca Kohl, Rancesca Wilson and Barbara Batycka each produced singles victories for the Bears.
• Ralston got singles wins from Jennifer Andersen and Peyton Skiles in a 7-2 loss to Abe Lincoln Thursday.
