• Parachute games designed to stir children's imaginations, build teamwork and develop motor skills will be available at the La Vista Public Library from 11 to 11:30 a.m.

The event offers easy All ages of children are welcome, but the event is ideal for children ages 2 through 6. Parent or guardian participation is required.

The library is located at 9110 Giles Road.

• The La Vista Public Library will start off Easter week with a mix-and-match Easter egg storytime and a scavenger hunt from 6 to 7 p.m.

Families who attend will read stories, sing songs, color a crazy egg picture and have an Easter egg scavenger hunt. Treats will be provided. No registration is required.

• Those who still haven't filed their taxes are in luck.

Today is the last day AARP Tax-Aide, a partnership between the AARP Foundation and the Internal Revenue Service, is offering free assistance with income tax returns at the Bellevue Senior Center from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
