The second annual Papillion-La Vista Fine Arts Hero 5K Run and 1-Mile Run/Walk will begin at 8 a.m. at the Papillion-La Vista Stadium and loop through Walnut Creek Recreation Area.
Participation for adults is $18. Children and students cost $12. Families of two adults and up to five children will pay $55. Single entrants (not groups or families) can register online at raceregister.net.
Participants may dress as their favorite superhero to show their support of Wounded Warriors.

Opening weekend, themed as “Combat & Battles,” runs through Sunday, and is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days. Throughout the faire, a continuous schedule of music, comedy, juggling and amazing feats of skill are presented on four unique stages.

• Farrell’s Extreme Bodyshaping, 7428 Eastport Parkway in La Vista, is donating their gym to the Rah Rah 4 Tatas fundraiser for Project Pink’d from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The suggested donation for a 40-minute class, each starting at the top of each hour, is $5 for Farrell’s Members and $15 for nonmembers.
