New teachers hired for Gretna schools

Fourteen teachers have been hired by Gretna Public Schools so far for the 2014-2015 school year.

Three teachers have been hired at the high school, middle school and Palisades Elementary School.

Two math teachers have been hired for GHS, Allison Brown and Grant Rolfes. Lisa Rolfes has been hired for a spanish teaching position.

Another math teacher, Aaron Callaway, has been hired for the middle school. Lydia Moes has been added as an English teacher and Lindsay Gatewood will teach sixth grade.

At Palisades, Rachel Warren, Marcie Dorram and Beth Kibby will join the staff. Warren as a preschool teacher, Dorram in first grade and Kibby on the READ team.

Tiffani Boyd and Tara Jensen have been added at Thomas Elementary in first grade and preschool positions, respectively.

At Whitetail Creek Elementary, Katie Mason has been added for first grade and Sheri Roberts will teach third grade.

Special Education teacher Matt Glogowski is the only addition to Gretna Elementary so far.

Eleven staff members have been approved for retirement or resignation for next year. They are: Wanda Glasshoff, Louise Moss, Janelle Brester, Susan VanZandt, Jonie Williams, Sara Bennett, Kate Craig, Kristy Schweitz, Pam Odorisio, Sara Bennett and Khara Malcom.
