LINCOLN — The Legislature's leading animal lover said Friday he's ready to do battle with Gov. Dave Heineman over the future of mountain lion hunting in Nebraska.
State Sen. Ernie Chambers of Omaha said he's already begun working to persuade fellow lawmakers to override Heineman's veto of a bill that would end mountain lion hunting in the state.
