The Nebraska Office of Rural Health regularly updates a set of 93-county maps showing which parts of Nebraska are adequately served by physicians and which aren’t. Gray is used to designate shortage areas.
The maps for family practice physicians, pediatricians and obstetrician-gynecologists each show the same general pattern: large areas of rural Nebraska covered in gray.
