Willa Cather made real the struggles of hard life on the Great Plains and in the American West. So it is fitting that a national center to study and celebrate her works would plant its flag in Red Cloud.
The south-central Nebraska town is the perfect setting for a planned 20,000-square-foot Cather museum, research archive and art gallery.
