For residents in north Omaha, the Charles Drew Health Center is nothing less than a lifeline.
The medical treatments and diagnoses at the federally funded center are invaluable for patients, most of whom come from low-income households. The center, in place since 1983, also provides dental care and receives more than 41,000 patient visits annually.
