Nebraska Attorney General Jon Bruning deserves credit for handling the very private matter of his colon cancer treatment in a public fashion, which can help more people decide to take the important step of being screened. A traffic signal will be installed at the Sarpy County intersection where an accident killed 15-year-old Nate LaFave. The new signal will require four-way stopping at intersection of Highway 370 and 180th Street. While a recent study determined a signal was not warranted, usage was close to the necessary criteria, the Nebraska Department of Roads says. That’s a welcome case of common sense besting statistics.
