Sarpy County officials say widening a milelong portion of a major thoroughfare will increase traffic safety and make rush hour easier.
The $2.7 million project will widen Giles Road from two to three lanes between 144th and 156th Streets. The expansion will include a two-way center left-turn lane for side street and driveway entrances.
