LINCOLN The Nebraska Board of Regents on Thursday approved an inter-local agreement with the City of Omaha that marks the next step toward a new hockey arena and other athletic facilities for the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Under the agreement that will go to the Omaha City Council in the coming weeks, the city would contribute $6.3 million toward the estimated $76 million cost of the project. Most of the city funds would go toward infrastructure.
