Temple Israel celebrates new home
Rabbi Josh Brown leads the way as about 300 people walk from the old Temple Israel at 70th and Cass Streets to the new building at 13111 Sterling Ridge Drive. Temple members formed 13 teams stationed along the route, and passed the Torah scroll from one group to the next.

Nebraska's oldest Jewish congregation celebrated its move to a new west Omaha synagogue on Sunday with prayers, music and thanksgiving.
“This building was built to become a place for growth, peace, serenity, courage (and) action,'' said Rabbi Aryeh Azriel of Temple Israel.
